Strong qualifying for Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport

Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport and Jake Hill enjoyed a strong Snetterton qualifying performance as they notched their third consecutive second-row start as the team looks ahead to Rounds 7, 8 and 9 of the 2023 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship tomorrow in Norfolk. A disrupted qualifying session brought a sense of danger for the series’ frontrunners but the Kent-based Hill delivered once again to give himself and the team a good chance of a strong race day at a sun-soaked Snetterton Circuit. Jake and the WSR-run BMW 330e M Sport enjoyed a productive morning as they closed out both free practice sessions in P4 and P3 respectively. As qualifying rolled around, the session came to an early stop as a fellow challenger dropped oil on the circuit which caused Jake an early scare in the final sector but he showed expert car control. The session resumed after a lengthy delay but just as the #24 ‘Laser Beamer’ was getting up to speed, another red flag followed causing another disruption. The clock ticked towards the ten-minute marker as the track went green once again and Jake set out to post his first representative lap time. An impressive first flying lap jumped Jake into the top four. After cooling and going again, it looked like Jake had jumped stablemate Colin Turkington into P3 only for his lap time to be deleted due to track limits.
